Apple says demand for the new iPhone 5 laptop was "unbelievable", on the first day and said it was already sold out in some stores around the world.
Reports this week that the laptop Touch-enabled ID would seriously short supply on the release date and that appears to be from go judging from customer experiences on Friday.
Those who were in line at an Apple Store location early Friday morning struggled to get the laptop, with no or very limited supplies at the stores of the network.
In the United Kingdom, hundreds of punters had moved away from retail stores which quickly exhausted their supplies.
In a statement released at AllThingsD, the company said: "the demand for the new iPhone has been incredible, and we are currently sold out or have limited the supply of some iPhone models 5s in some shops".
At the time of writing, lists all storage selections of three colors of all three to be shipped in "October".
There are such problems with the iPhone 5 c, which is listed to be shipped in 1-3 business days.
