Phablets are not the future, but part of it, says Sony

Sony said the range of screen sizes that offers customers, defending phablets as part of the mobile future.
In the wake of the launch of the Sony Z1, Sony Xperia has defended the size of his 6.44 inches Sony Xperia Z Ultra as appealing to those who want to enjoy movies on the go.
Speaking of TrustedReviews, Pierre Perron, President of Sony Mobile North-West Europe and Catherine Cherry, Marketing Director of Sony Mobile North-West Europe said that diversity is intentional smartphone screen.
"We think there is still a market for a wide range of screen sizes. Depends on what you intend to do with the phone, "said Cherry. "If you spend most of your time surfing the internet, watching movies then [Xperia Z Ultra] is the phone for you."
Despite its size, the Xperia Z Ultra retains the smartphone's design aesthetic Sony Xperia Z, with Z sealing maintained within the expanded form factor.
"It's really about you telling me what content or experience you want to have, and I tell you that you should get, contrary to what you are interested in technical skills, telephone" added Perron.
Phablets I've been popping out more about smartphone market during the months of transition. To compete with the Xperia Z Ultra large screen smartphones like the Huawei Ascend Mate, Asus Fonepad note 6 and Samsung Galaxy 3 Note.
"Enjoy [Xperia Z Ultra] basically if you're an observer of the movie, you want that kind of experience, as opposed to [Xperia Z1] which is predominantly more centric, creative imaging centric centric sharing. This is really what you want to experience. "
