Google Nexus 4 now available from £ 159

Google has reduced the price of its smartphone Nexus Android 4 £ 80 on the range.

The entry-level 8 GB of Google Nexus 4 used to be a more than reasonable £ 239, but now it has fallen to just £ 159. Meanwhile, the 16 GB model dropped from £ 279 to £ 199.

Google argues that the price cut applies to UK, USA, Australia, Canada, Korea, Germany and Spain, and that represents a decline of at least 25 percent.

Already arguably the best smartphone on the market value, the Google Nexus 4 now represents something of a steal just two weeks before the expected launch of Apple's iPhone 5 C budget.

Coincidence? Probably not.

Of course, it is traditionally around this time of year, thoughts begin to turn to the next generation of smartphones Google-approved. The Nexus 4 same launched in November 2012, while the Galaxy Nexus was released the previous November.

We would be very surprised if a Google Nexus 5 does not show in the next three months, which would make the price today cut an exercise in liquidation store, if nothing else.

The latest rumors suggest that LG has the new task of building the new Nexus phone. Many believe that will bring some similarities to the Korean company's recently announced LG G2, a display with edge-to-edge of similar 5.2 inch 1080 p.

However, the design might be a little closer to the Nexus 4, with a rear body panel and glass.
