Vs Samsung Galaxy 2 Note 3 note-what's the difference?

The most important device to exit the 2013 IFA is the Samsung Galaxy 3 Note. It's a great phone screen that does not travel in territory occupied ridiculous size phones like the Galaxy Mega 6.3.

It seems to me a great alternative for the Samsung Galaxy S4. But how much of an upgrade over the Galaxy 2?

Each Galaxy high-end device recently used a shiny plastic back. And it doesn't feel too big, if you like your gadgets to feel like their astronomical cost cuneo you've paid for them.

To combat this, Samsung uses a new design of skin effect in note 3. Textured faux leather and stitching on the edges of the rear panel, make the phone much less polished and slippy with respect to the model. Is likely to be an acquired taste, but it's a step in the right direction.

It is the largest known Galaxy spec update 3 screen sizes. Where the known Galaxy 2 has a 5.5 inch screen, note 3 was powered up to 5.7 inches.

With a bit of clever engineering, Samsung has managed to make two phones feel roughly the same size, however, knocking down the screen bezel and bloom of the body a little. Both phones are wider than the S4 Galaxy, though.

The size is particularly useful in these phones, since they both use a pressure-sensitive pen S based on Wacom technology. With it, you can use the note 2 and note 3 as-you guessed it-a Notepad.

What is most important to upgrade the quality of the image is the resolution. Note 2 720 p screen has been mistaken for a full 1080 p screen.

This resolution was packed in small phones like the HTC One 4.7-inch, however the pixel density in note 3 is still pretty sharp images and text. Pixel density of the third-generation model is 386ppi, from 262ppi in note 2.

Updating pixel density too things like the note 2 was a bit below what might be considered ' Retina ' standard, where the pixels are so small that they do not see unless you use some kind of magnifying tool.

The 3 is well known in this area. Both phones use the Super AMOLED screen, which uses pixels that emit light, rather than a universal backlight. This leaves the phones get excellent black levels and contrast, far higher than what the IPS screen is capable of.

Super AMOLED screens are a staple of Samsung, so it's not a surprise to see this technology used once again.

Note 3What is the best use of a screen as big as the Galaxy 3 Note the stylus pen S is common to all devices. However, this time around Samsung has reworked the software they are using.

It is now based around something called Air Command. This is a small wheel nav that you can pull up the stylus right when it is near the screen, and gives you easy access to stylus-friendlier. We'd love to see this added to note 2. But at the moment we are not sure if you'll be transferred over.

Another standard feature of Samsung is the microSD card slot all Galaxy series phones. This let you Boost phones memory without spending too much money. Both phones have a note.

The most common variant of note 2 storage seen in the United Kingdom is the edition of 16 GB, but Samsung is falling this storage capacity in note 3. It will start at 32 GB, cementing the phone like a high-end device.

Another high-level feature in note 3 is 4 g (LTE) connectivity. The second note you got there before that was common in telephones, and maxes out at 21Mbps HSDPA internet. There was a 4 g version of note 2 released later down the line, though. If you want this, make sure you take the N7105 Edition, rather than the 3 g only N7100.

As far as we know at present, all versions of note 3 will be compatible with 4 g.

Reflecting the transition from Galaxy to Galaxy S4 S3, note 3 has a 13 megapixel camera, while the note 2 uses an 8 megapixel one. Both use Sony sensors, both have the LED flashes.

Although we didn't get a chance to test first hand the camera note 3 yet, we expect that it will be able to produce a lot more detail-filled picture in good lighting than its predecessor. However, both will struggle in low light as neither has a particularly large sensor or optical image stabilization

Are solid snapper, but cameras have never been a huge focus for the range of notes.

Note 3 coloursCore specifications also show the kind of generational change you expect one year of product launches. Note 2 uses a processor Exynos-series, a quad-core chip, 1.6 GHz with 2 GB RAM. Footnote 3 was boosted to 800 Snapdragon chipset running at 2.3 GHz with 3 GB of RAM.

Although the 2.5 GB RAM is an aberration – top-end androids still use 2 GB Snapdragon chipset – 800 is beginning to be used by various manufacturers. You'll find it on LG G2 and Sony Xperia Z Ultra, for example. It's progress by the numbers.

However, you must. The highest resolution of note 3 requires a bit more power – especially for games – and note 2 really starts to show its age next year.

There's nothing stunning about note 3. We want a successful formula and refines it, packing a more advanced screen in a body which is functionally no larger than the previous model. We are not convinced note 2 owners need to chuck their phone in the bin just yet, though.
