The Google Nexus 5 release date is now just weeks away with latest reports pointing towards an October 31 arrival.
With Google Nexus 4 stocks having run dry in the u.s. after the handset's recent price cuts, it has been suggested that the Google Nexus 5 release date will follow in the near future, with a Halloween arrival reportedly on the cards
Citing unnamed sources, Android based Droid Life tipsters have claimed that the eagerly awaited Google Nexus 5 release date will be held on October 31, weeks after the LG G2 handset, tipped to feature a similar spec to the Nexus 5 hits the UK.
"The next Nexus phone should arrive sometime in October, possibly around October 31, according to sources of ours," the report stated.
Last month Google slashed £ 80 off the price of both the 8 GB and 16 GB Google Nexus 4 handsets, bringing the 4.7-inch smartphones down to an even more appeasing and £ 159/£ 199 respectively on a SIM free basis.
Although the UK arm of the Google store is still Play stock listing of the quad-core CPU, 720 p HD display the phone handset hosting is now completely sold out in the US. It has been suggested that Google will now not replenish stocks as its moves its efforts to the next-gen Google Nexus 5.
Rumoured to be 5.2-inches in size, the Google Nexus 5 has been tipped to be based on the foundation of the LG G2, just without the peculiar rear-mounted volume controls.
According to recent Google Nexus 5 rumours, the phone will be the first to come packing the as yet unconfirmed 5.0 Key Lime Pie Android OS alongside a quad-core processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 Pro processor, 2 GB of RAM and the option of increased 16 GB and 32 GB storage capacities.
