Samsung has announced the Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 with a large 5.25-inch screen and mid-range specs.

Building on the Samsung Galaxy Grand released in January this year, the Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 will be coming to selective markets at some point soon.

Samsung has yet to announce pricing and availability for the 5.25-inch handset, but it will be coming in black, white and pink when it does.

Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 Features
The Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 has a 5.25-inch 1280 x 720p HD display and runs Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.

It has Samsung’s latest TouchWiz UI on top of this, which includes software features like S Translator, S Travel, Sound & Shot and Story Album.

Under the hood is a 1.2GHz quad-core processor with 1.5GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory. This can be bolstered with microSD cards up to 64GB though.

It has an 8-megpaixel rear camera with autofocus and an LED flash, with a secondary 1.9-megapixel camera in the front.

Running on a 2,600mAh battery, the Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 has slimmed down in comparison to its predecessor. It now has dimensions of 146.8 x 75.3 x 8.9mm and weighs a reasonable 163g. The previous model was 9.6mm thick and weighed in a little lighter at 162g.

Connectivity wise you’re looking at HSPA and a dual-SIM card slot but there’s no 4G LTE. You do get Wi-Fi and GPS.

There’s no word on whether the Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 will come to the UK, but we’ll keep you posted if there’s any news.

LG G Flex coming to Europe as pricing is announced

The LG G Flex will arrive in Europe as early as next month, the flexible phone's South Korean manufacturer has revealed.

Launching in Korea on November 12, the curved and flexible phone will be available in France on mobile network Orange by the end of the year.

The device is being promoted by LG as "the world's first 'real' curved smartphone, an underhand dig at its bitter rival Samsung and the Samsung Galaxy Round, a handset which curves slightly between its left and right edges but is not flexible.

First unveiled in October, LG has now announced the LG G Flex price, saying it will cost 999,900 Korean Won (about £584), slightly less than its competitor's 1.09 million won (£632) price tag.

The 6-inch LG G Flex has a 720p OLED display screen with a banana bend running from top to bottom.

The rounded shape mimics LG's curved LCD TVs, providing a more immersive video experience. It's also thought that it makes the phone ergonomically superior when making calls.

A video leaked by an inside source earlier this week shows that as well as being bent the phone is also bendy. It can be flattened when pushed down on either side.

The sources reports that it takes a "reasonable amount of force" to recreate the effect, so the device won't be floppy but it means its screen is unlikely to shatter when dropped.

In addition to its flexibility the phone has a self-healing protective film on back which heals up surface scratches in minutes.

A chunky 177g, it measures between 7.9mm and 8.7mm thick and is powered by the current Android processor of choice - a 2.26GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 CPU backed by 2GB of RAM. It has an 13-megapixel camera and runs on a 3,500mAh battery.

Release date of the Samsung Galaxy Ace 3 UK announced

Samsung has announced the release date of the Samsung Galaxy 3 for the United Kingdom Ace, revealing that the 4 g handset will be available from tomorrow.

Available for purchase from Saturday 5 October, the Samsung Galaxy 3 Ace is the continuation of the Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 extremely popular and successful.

"Our latest addition to the Galaxy, Galaxy Ace portfolio 3 is packed with lots of features designed to provide a more intuitive user experience and smoother," said Simon Stanford, Vice President of it and Mobile Division of Samsung UK and Ireland. "After the success of Galaxy Ace 2, we are confident that our customers will enjoy this new device when it hits the shelves this month."

Available at first as an exclusive, that the Galaxy Ace 3 will then be made available from selected retailers, including Tesco and Carphone Warehouse.

Samsung Galaxy Ace features 3
Running on a 1.2 GHz processor dual-core processor with 1 GB of RAM, the Samsung Galaxy 3 Ace has a 4 inch WVGA LCD with a resolution of 480 x 800 p HD.

Galaxy Ace 3 is powered by a rather average 1, 800mAh battery and runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean with Samsung's TouchWiz UI latest introduced with the flagship Samsung Galaxy S4.

With a design by aping the S4 Galaxy, Galaxy Ace 3 sizes up to 121.2 x 62.7 x 10 mm and offers 8 GB of internal memory, supported by a microSD card slot supports up to 64 GB.

Equipped with a 5 megapixel camera on the back, there is also a front VGA's snapper for low-resolution video and call selfies.

Available for 4 g and 3 g networks, the specifics of Galaxy Ace are rounded to 3 NFC, Bluetooth 4.0 and Wi-Fi connectivity.

Samsung Galaxy 3 Ace price
Samsung has yet to offer any official pricing details on Samsung Galaxy 3 Aces, but it will be a mid-range alternative to Android devices.

iPhone 5S prices announced by Vodafone

Vodafone UK has details of its iPhone tariffs 5S, revealing the phone will be available on its 4 g network from launch.

Next release date iPhone 5S Friday, Vodafone has outlined its tariff rates and deals for Apple's flagship.

Available directly from stores or on the website of Vodafone, the iPhone 5 will be offered red Vodafone 4 g-ready and Red plans 24 months 3.

The 24 month 4 g-ready plans start as low as £47 per month for 6 GB of data (on offer until the end of October), unlimited minutes and texts and a free six-month subscription to Sky Sports or Spotify Premium. To get the iPhone 16 GB 5S this rate there will be a charge of £ 79 up-front.

If 4 g isn't nearby, the 5S iPhone can be purchased on Vodafone 3 g red piano from £42 per month plus a one-off cost of £ 79 per month 24. This contract offers unlimited minutes and texts and 1 GB of data.

Vodafone 4 g network launched on August 29 in London, arguing speed six times faster than the average obtained on 3 g. By the end of this year, Vodafone will add 4 g coverage in more positions of 12 UK, including Glasgow, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Nottingham, Newcastle and Leeds.

2014 Football Manager release date announced as October 31

has been confirmed the release date of the Football Manager 2014, with the Publisher Sega revealing the latest installment to the popular franchise will take place on October 31. Allowing you to take to the bench as the manager of your football team, the release date Football Manager games 2014 will see retailers has hit a full month after the two football sims, 14 leaders of FIFA and PES 2014 shall be made publicly available.

Discussing the title mobile Sports Interactive said: "the game of PS Vita will also be the first portable version of Football Manager to characterize the 3D engine of the game."

The developers added: "players of Football Manager Classic will not only be able to continue a solo career through three computer platforms, will also be able to continue that same career while mobile on their PS Vita (version PS FM Life 2014 is also required).

Xiaomi Mi3 announced on May 5 in Beijing

Xiaomi Mi3 has and again appeared revealed different aspects of your Smartphone. We saw also the unit for the GFX-bench database a few days ago. Xiaomi flagship third-generation is all set to make its way onto the market and the Smartphone will be officially presented on March 5 in Beijing.
