Release date and Huawei Ascend P7 specs leaked

Specifications and a release date currently unconfirmed for Huawei Ascend P7 leaked online.

According to a leaked internal document, Huawei prepares to launch the P7 ascend in April next year, with the flagship currently codenamed "Sophia".

Internal document suggests that the P7 Ascend will be a major update over the existing Huawei Ascend P6, famous for being the thinnest smartphone in the world only 6.2 mm thick.

Anonymous informant GSMArena said the P7 Ascend will look very similar to its predecessor and document States it is done by "delicious" materials. Huawei probably will use the same metal as the P6 Ascend.

Huawei Ascend P7 should have a processor HiSilicon mirella 910 of 1.6 GHz quad-core with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal memory. This will be expandable with a microSD card slot.

Will also have a 5-inch Full HD 1080 p TFT LCD display performs an unknown version of Android 2.0 UI and Emotion on Huawei.

Huawei is one of the unique selling points of P7 Ascend highlights such as the ability to take the "best video selfie". Apparently this will come from a 8-megapixel front camera, which is a better resolution than those found in the main camera of some high-end smartphones.

There is also a 13-megapixel camera on the back with AutoFocus and an LED flash.

The P7 Ascend will be powered by a battery of 2460mAh and be able to offer 4 g LTE connectivity.

If the leaked internal document is entirely accurate, the Huawei Ascend P7 will be available for purchase by April 2014. This would mean a launch event around the end of March or beginning of April.

We have yet to hear any word on pricing for Huawei Ascend P7, but we expect it will be about the same price as P6-£ 350.
